Skin cancer precancer is the difficult to detect. But these minimal changes in single skin cells can later develop into skin cancer. If these preliminary stages of skin cancer are detected in time, they can be successfully eliminated, often without surgery. Therefore, we are specialized with state of the art confocal laser microscopes to detect precancer at early as possible.
The different forms of skin cancer precancer, such as actinic keratoses or dysplastic nevi, can be treated well and permanently in most cases once they are detected. The greatest difficulty with these, often inconspicuous, precancers of skin cancer is to detect these apparently harmless skin changes safely and early.
To achieve this, we have specialised in the early detection of skin cancer and its precursors. After all, the best prerequisite for a successful therapy for skin cancer is to start it as early as possible so that no dangerous changes to the tissue occur in the first place. In addition to the reflected light microscope, we use digital microscopes and laser microscopes for diagnosis. This enables us to achieve a very high degree of accuracy in the examination.
